Chill Fest is held in Melbourne's beautiful Dandenong Ranges.

What is included in a ticket?

Full access to all classes and performances throughout the day.

 

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

By Foot

You could take the scenic route by walking an extra 25 mins from the top of the 1000 Steps/Kokoda Memorial Walk straight to Chill Fest! 

By Car

Limited parking is available in the small car park at the event and on nearby side-streets. We advise you leave your vehicle at Upper Ferntree Gully Railway Station and take the 688 bus to stop Old Main Rd/Mt. Dandenong Tourist Rd in Ferny Creek.

By Bus

The 688 bus stops at Old Main Rd/Mt. Dandenong Tourist Rd in Ferny Creek for Chill Fest

This 688 bus runs from Upper Ferntree Gully Railway Station (10min journey) every hour

Last bus back to the station is 10.07pm

By Train

The the closest railway is Upper Ferntree Gully railway station

  • Then by Bus - The 688 bus runs from Upper Ferntree Gully Railway Station (10min journey) every hour
  • We suggest you take the bus from the station but if you would prefer to go by Foot - Chill Fest is 1hr 15mins walk up the hill via the 1000 Steps/Kokoda Memorial Walk

What can I bring into the event?

BYO essentials if participating in activities

  • Yoga mat
  • Water bottle (no glass please) 
  • Blanket for meditation

BYO essentials 

  • The weather should be lovely but as we are in the hills prepare for anything from high UV to wet or cooler weather conditions, especially after sunset. So bring appropriate clothing and sun protection
  • We have chosen a great selection of local food and non-alcoholic drinks vendors to trade at Chill Fest, so please support them and refrain from bringing your own food or drink
  • However, we do encourage you to bring your own water bottle (no glass please) refill stations are abundant

 

Suggestions

  • There are spaces to relax so feel free to bring picnic blankets and cushions
  • You may want to bring a towel for activities like yoga
  • If you would like to purchase hot drinks we encourage you to bring your own mug or reusable coffee cup although we should have spares :)
  • As with all events with amplified music, you may wish to bring ear protection for your children

Remember this is an alcohol-free family friendly wellness event

 

is the event accessible & does it cater for people with disabilities?

The event is accessible, however it is mostly help on a grassy oval so the ground may become soft. The event does have facilities for people with disabilities. 

 

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Not at all. This is a family friendly, all ages event. There is a great playground within sight of the main stage and under 12’s have free entry!

 

What am I not allowed to bring to Chill Fest?

We have chosen a great selection of local food and non-alcoholic drinks vendors to trade at Chill Fest, so please support them and refrain from bringing your own food or drink

Remember this is an alcohol & smoke-free family friendly wellness event held in a primary school

Pets or animals are not allowed on the site

Please do not bring any glass

Chill Fest is a safe space and is strictly drug-free

 

Will there be camping or accommodation near Chill Fest?

Camping is not permitted on site, however there are many beautiful campsites around the Dandenong Ranges.

There are many options for accommodation in the Dandenong Ranges but book early to avoid disappointment.

How do I apply to volunteer at Chill Fest?

We are still recruiting for volunteer positions! If you are reliablehardworking and adaptable we would love to have you onboard!

Can I bring children?

This is a family friendly, all ages event. There is a great playground within sight of the main stage and under 12’s have free entry!
